Wheelhouse Credit Union is a safe and sound financial institution that is state-chartered and federally insured through the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). We serve over 31,000 diverse consumers who have a wide-variety of products and services with the Credit Union. Our strong leadership team and healthy financial practices allow you to feel confident in your choice to bank with us.
Our primary objective is, and will continue to be, making sure our Members have the financial resources they need to succeed. Our current high-yield deposit accounts are the perfect option for you to place your money in a safe and secure environment.
As part of our commitment to providing financial insight and education, know that your deposits are insured by the NCUA, an independent agency of the United States that regulates, charters and supervises federal credit unions. NCUA also operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). The NCUA through the NCUSIF provides you, our Members, with $250,000 in coverage per account holder. Example: a two-person joint account with no beneficiaries has $500,000 coverage ($250,000 per account owner). NCUA covers all deposit types, including regular shares, share drafts (checking), money market accounts, and share certificates. The NCUA provides additional coverage for Retirement Accounts, Joint Accounts and Trust Accounts.
